SAN DIEGO – As part of his commitment to supporting children and families throughout the City of San Diego, Mayor Todd Gloria tomorrow will be joined by San Diego Unified School District Superintendent Lamont Jackson, various nonprofit partners and community leaders at the Linda Vista Community Park for a back-to-school celebration for children and families. In addition, Sharp Healthcare will host health fair stations and a one-day vaccine clinic on-site.
Students will be able to receive supplies to set them up for success in digital learning, including headphones and padded Chromebook cases, along with basic supplies including notebooks, markers, binders and pencil pouches. Meet and greets, giveaways and interactive games will be provided by the San Diego Loyal Soccer Club, San Diego Seals lacrosse team, San Diego Gulls ice hockey team, San Diego Padres baseball team, San Diego Wave FC soccer team, the City of San Diego’s Parks and Recreation department and more.
